Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus

Love Lifted Me

           Introduction

Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where today, I am writing the lyrics to the hymn, Day By Day; it was written in 1865 by Lina Sandell.

Lina Sandell wrote it years after she watched her father die by drowning, which is something nobody be forced to see.

Rest in peace, Lina Sandell; may up you be happy with the Lord.

If you don't know how the tune goes, go to YouTube and look up Folksandhymns; as usual, the way the song is sung is beautiful.

Now, on with the show!

             The Lyrics

Verse 1

Day by day, and with each passing moment,

Strength I find to meet my trials here;

Trusting in my Father's wise bestowment,

I've no cause for worry or for fear.

He, who's heart is kind beyond all measures,

Gives unto each day what He deems best,

Lovingly, it's part of pain and pleasure,

Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Verse 2

Everyday, the Lord Himself is near me,

With a special mercy for each hour;

All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,

He who's name is Counsellor and Pow'r.

The protection of His child and treasure

Is a charge that on Himself He laid;

"As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,"

This the pledge to me He made.

Verse 3

Help me then, in every tribulation,

So to trust Thy promises, oh Lord,

That I lose not faith's sweet consolation,

Offered me within Thy Holy Word.

Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,

E'er to take, as from a father's hand,

One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,

'Til with Christ the Lord I stand.

       Afterwards

I honestly don't think I'll ever hear the song the way I used to; I mean, I used to not care for it that much, but when you hear something like that...

You can't hear a story like that and not have your view on something change.

          The road with a beautiful view

                      The road and a mountain

If there is a particular subject that you want me to cover, let me know down in the comments.

I update on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Random Chatty Days.

Before we go, I just want to make sure you understand something: appreciate the people in your life; forever is not forever, and they could die at any minute.

Share the gospel with the lost.

Goodbye, and God bless.
