So, welcome welcome!  Today's song is Jesus loves me. If you haven't heard it, I'm surprised; it is a very common song, as well as a really nice one. There is a lot of verses, more than than I thought there was. I only knew three; turns out, there's more like five. If you don't know the tune, I suggest Carrie Underwood's version. Introduction Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where today, I have a recipe for you. I don't do a lot of recipes, as I don't like writing down instructions. But, sometimes I do do a recipe, and today is one of those days. Today, the recipe is Chocolate Chip Bread, which I highly enjoy, of course; I love chocolate. But, nobody wants me to ramble all day, so on with the recipe! The Recipe Preheat oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit, and grease a 9/13 inch baking dish. 1  and 3/4 cups of milk 2 eggs 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract  1 cup of sugar 1/4 cup of oil Mix these things together in a large bowl and set aside. 3 cups of flour 3 teaspoons of salt (more or less, up to you) 3 teaspoons of baking soda 1 and 1/2 cups of chocolate chips Mix all of the wet ingredients in a large bowl, then, in a smaller bowl, mix the dry ingredients together. Now add the dry into the wet, and mix until almost combined. Now fold in your chocolate chips. Put your batter into

The woods Hiiiiiii, and welcome to another... Random Chatty Day! Do you like saxophones? I do. I like all of the instruments, and someday I would like all of them. But, for now, I'll never have a saxophone. Why?  Never you mind. Today I will share facts about the saxophone and just yak about 'em. Enjoy! The saxophone was invented in the 1840s, which surprises me. Considering how much SOME people hate them, I thought that they were invented in the 1950s, or something like that. It was invented in Rue Neuve Saint Georges Paris (I can't pronounce it either) by Adolphe Sax. Hence, saxophone. I like the saxophone depending on who's playing it. If it's some beginner that goes and honks on it like a goose with laryngitis, PROBABLY not. But if it's someone who knows what their doing, I like it. A path in the forest Introduction Hello, my friends. I am Mother of Gooses, and I love hymns, particularly fast ones. And I'm going to be trying to publish the lyrics to all the ones I like, or kind of like, or not really like. Today's hymn is Victory in Jesus; written by Eugene Monroe Bartlett, it is on my list of favorite hymns; and I hope that if you don't like it, you will learn to. It is a very pretty hymn. Other recipes: Ermine Frosting Chocolate Peanut Butter Frosting Chocolate Chip Bread   Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where I have a recipe.  Yay! I recently started making up recipes, and one of the recipes I've made up was Cheesey Muffins; they are actually quite tasty, (though they don't taste good when stale) and they are healthy, which is important if you don't want sugar rush. I don't have much else to add, except to be careful to follow instructions, because if you don't, you will ruin the muffins. Enjoy! 1 cup of milk 1/4 cup of oil 1/4 cup of sugar 1/4 cup of sour cream 1/4 cup of water 2 eggs  2 cups of flour 3 teaspoons of salt  2 teaspoons of baking soda 1 3/4 cups of cheese (your choice of cheese) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees fahrenheit and grease a 12 hole muffin tin.  Mix the oil, milk, eggs, sugar and water together in a large bowl; then, in a smaller bowl, mix the flour, salt and baking soda together. The relative of the melodica, the piano  Hello, friends! Today is a Random Chatty Day and today we are talking about... Melodicas! Melodicas are rather strange; which is why they are called 'novelty instruments.' You see, they look like very small pianos. They have no legs, leaving them flat on whatever surface you put them on. You play the melodica the way you would play the piano, except for one thing: you have to blow into it.  When you buy a melodica, it should come with a tube; you attach this tube to the melodica, (you are smart, you'll figure out where) blow into the tube while pressing on a key, and voila! You can make noises that will annoy everyone within 100 feet.  Now I have nothing against Melodicas; I like them, and I think that they are neat. But some people don't like them, so read the room before you play it.  The melodica was invented in the 1950s; so it's really not that old, only about 70 years. Now I know that 70 years is old for humans. It'

                    The stream on a sunny day                                                                 Ermine frosting Are you sick and tired of paying a ridiculous amount per pound for butter? Or do you want a change from the regular buttercreams? Then I have reason to believe that you will be intrigued at least, in love at most with my mother’s Ermine frosting recipe.  It requires some stove time, very little butter and it tastes good.  Just follow my instructions carefully. Trust me, you don't want flour lumps.* *I will mention this again later*                                                                     The recipe 2 cups of milk. ½ of a cup of sugar. 4 tbsp flour. 6 tbsp coconut oil. (Butter if necessary.) 2 tsp salt. Put the milk in a pot and add the sugar. It should be on medium heat. Bring milk to a simmer.   Now turn it down to low and sift in the flour while whisking. You don't want the flour to have lumps, because that's just… it's not very

Trees and snow  Hello, it is me, Mother of Gooses. And I have an update for you. I have decided that I am going to update on Sundays, as well as on Random Chatty Days, Mondays and Wednesdays.  The Sunday updates will be about God, the Bible, what He has done for me, prayers He has answered; and just me yakking about things I find interesting about the things I have mentioned.  We have a wonderful God, don't you agree? He has given us so many things; such as food, water, clothes, a house, friends, family, soap, doctors, bandages, medicines; all these things have come from God. And we lose track of these these blessings; I do; I get to thinking about what I don't have, and I don't think about what I do. Let me mention something that I kind of take for granted: my boots. When I go out to take care of my animals, of course I put on my boots.  Now I have gone through a few pairs of boots. They have all gotten holes in them, which was always a pain. It is me, a mother of gooses and geese, and a single parakeet; a cat that is three pounds if she drinks a lot of water and doesn't poop for two days; a adorable and very uncooperative beagle; a whole bunch of chickens and rabbits; and no children. I love to cook, eat, play instruments, listen to instruments, write, read, and, I love animals. I live on a planet called Earth, on a farm with the animals I named above, along with some other animals that aren't mine, thank goodness. On this blog, I will post recipes, facts I find interesting about instruments and maybe some things about nature. Jokes. Scary stories. Just random things, ya know? I will update on Wednesdays and Mondays. Then there will be what I call ‘random chatty day’, when I talk about nothing in particular on no particular day.
