First of all, happy New Year. I'm glad you're here. I hope that God blesses you throughout the year.

Today, we are looking at the lyrics to the hymn, Trust And Obey; it was written in 1887 by John H. Sammis, and it is now published in 453 hymnals.

Isiah 50:10

"Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God."

Psalm 84:11

Lyrics to the hymn, This Is My Father's world

Introduction  Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where I write the lyrics to hymns, and the occasional recipe. Today, the hymn we are looking at is called This Is My Father's World; it was written in 1901 by a Mr. Maltbie Davenport Babcock. It was originally a poem with sixteen verses, but when it was set to music, only three verses were chosen.
