The Tragedy of 911 (What Happened And Who Did It)
Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where I write about hymns, instruments, recipes, and animals; I hope that I can answer any questions that you might have.
Today is September 11th, 2024, 23 years after the World Trade Center was attacked by Islamic terrorists; I just want to talk about what happened, and help you understand what occurred.
On September 11th, 2001, the Islamic terrorists, al-Qaeda, hijacked four commercial planes and used them as massive weapons in order to hurt our country. At 8:46 in the morning, 5 al-Qaeda members crashed a plane into the 93 through 99th floors of the North Tower, killing 11 crew members, 76 passengers, and hundreds of people in the building. Hundreds more were trapped above the 91st floor, as the crash broke off access to the emergency stairwell.
At 8:50, the current president, George W. Bush, was told about the crash; he thought that it was just a tragic accident.
Oh, how wrong he was.
At 8:59, the Port Authority ordered the evacuation of the Twin Towers. At 9:00, they evacuated all of the World Trade Center.
At 9:03, 5 more al-Qaeda members another plane, this time into the South Tower, on the 77 and 85th floors. This crash killed 51 passengers, 9 crew members, and a bunch of people in the tower.
The estimated death count was anywhere between 50 to more than 200. 200 souls lost. Mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles, grandmas, grandpas, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, cousins, friends, husbands, wives, nieces, nephews, granddaughters, grandsons, dead. Sent back to heaven on a starlight flight. May God give the poor families of these people comfort.
The New York Police Department ordered another Level 4 mobilization.
At 9:05, President Bush heard of the second plane crashing. He gave short comments to the highly confused, scared, and grieving public before leaving Florida. By now, people aren't thinking that this was an accident.
They know that somebody wants them dead, and that they will stop at nothing to accomplish that. Even if they themselves die, they wanted Americans dead.
At 9:37 in the morning, 5 more terrorists crashed another plane into the Pentagon. This crash killed 53 passengers and 6 crew members; over a hundred civilian and military personnel on the ground died.
At 9:59 the South Tower fell in 10 terrifying seconds after burning for almost an hour, killing 800 people that were trapped inside
At 10:03, 4 highjackers crashed the 4th plane in a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania; the plane was crashed when the 33 passengers and seven crew members overwhelmed the hijackers in the cockpit.
The plane was 20 flying minutes away from Washington DC. These people died to save their country. Thank you so, so much. I'm sorry that your lives were ended.
At 10:15, part of the Pentagon fell. 22 minutes later, the North Tower collapsed. A saddening number of 1,600 lives were ended that day because of the attack on the North Tower alone.
At 11:02 in the morning, the New York City Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, ordered the evacuation of Lower Manhattan. Enough people had died already.
In the early afternoon, rescue squads were continuing to try and save people at the site of the World Trade Center. People were referring to it as ground zero. At some point in the day, planes were ordered to land, no matter where they were.
At 5:20, 7 World Trade Center collapsed after burning since the al-Qaeda attacked. Nobody died, as had been evacuated a long time before.
At 8:30, President Bush spoke to the nation from the old White House.

“The search is underway for those who are behind these evil acts. I’ve directed the full resources of our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and to bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them."
The plane that crashed into the South Tower was American Airlines Flight 11.
The plane that was used to attack the North Tower was United Airlines Flight 175.
The plane that crashed into the Pentagon was American Airlines Flight 77.
And the plane that crashed in the field was Flight 93.
All of these planes were used for mass murder; many, many people died because of the hatred of the al-Qaeda.
Looking at events that ended in the deaths of multiple people should be serious motivation for us to love each other; so many people have died because of HATE.
Pray to God for the peace of our world.
