 Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where I write about hymns, instruments, recipes, and animals; I hope that I can answer any questions that you might have.

The Subject At Hand

Today, I just want to shout out to a wonderful blog that I like to read known as Permission2speakfreely; I started reading it a couple of months ago, and it is so good.

The host, somebody who goes by Heather, writes about what she finds interesting; believe me, it is interesting.

She has done some interviews with a couple of people, and, (here's the kicker, my favorite) spiritual warfare.

Having done some adoptions and hosting of children, she writes about those experiences, which is super interesting.

She also has a 3 part series on (you probably didn't guess it) serial killers! Kind of dark, but informative, and she gives tips to help us protect the next generation from these evil men.

Another super interesting multi-part series is when she writes about her husband's grandma's escape from Latvia during WW2. What a mouthful to say. It is a wicked cool story, and you can see how God helped her.

It is such a fun blog, and I am so glad that God willed for me to find it, by means of an acquaintance of mine.

Lyrics to the hymn, This Is My Father's world

Introduction  Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where I write the lyrics to hymns, and the occasional recipe. Today, the hymn we are looking at is called This Is My Father's World; it was written in 1901 by a Mr. Maltbie Davenport Babcock. It was originally a poem with sixteen verses, but when it was set to music, only three verses were chosen. A tree and a bush Someday I might do the whole poem, but today, I'm just going to do the three that I know. Let me know if you want me to do the whole poem. Today's hymn is one of my new favorites, Sweet Hour Of Prayer. It was written in 1845 by Mr. William W. Walford, and it is one of the best hymns in the world. In fact, every hymn I like is one of the best hymns in the world; funny how that works.
