Lyrics to the hymn, I Know Whom I Have Believed

Mountains, snow, and the road

Introduction
Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog; I hope that I can answer any questions that you might have.

Today, we are looking at the hymn by Daniel Webster Whittle, I Know Whom I Have Believed. It was published in 1883, and is now published in 270 hymnals.

Wow.

It is a very uplifting hymn, and I just love it.

If you don't know how the tune goes, or if you want to sing along with somebody, go to YouTube and look up Squirrel 24, or Folksandhymns.

See you later!

The Lyrics
Verse 1

I know not why God's wondrous grace

To me He hath made known;

Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love

Redeemed me for His own.

Chorus

But, "I know whom I have believed,

And am persuaded that He is able

To keep that which I've committed

Unto Him against that day!"

Verse 2

I know how this saving faith

To me He did impart;

Nor how believing in His word

Wrought peace within my heart.

Chorus

But, "I know whom I have believed,

And am persuaded that He is able

To keep that which I've committed

Unto Him against that day!"

Verse 3

I know not how The Spirit moves,

Convincing us of sin;

Revealing Jesus through the word,

Creating faith in Him.

Chorus

But, "I know whom I have believed,

And am persuaded that He is able

To keep that which I've committed

Unto Him against that day!"

Verse 4

I know not what of good or ill

May be reserved for me;

Of weary ways or golden days

Before His face I see.

Chorus

But, "I know whom I have believed,

And am persuaded that He is able

To keep that which I've committed

Unto Him against that day!"

Verse 5

I know not when my Lord may come,

At night, or noonday fair;

Nor if I'll walk the veil with Him,

Or meet Him in the air.

Chorus

But, "I know whom I have believed,

And am persuaded that He is able

To keep that which I've committed

Unto Him against that day!"
