Lyrics to the song, El Shaddai


 Hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello,hello, hello, hello, hello, hello... This could go on forever. Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog were I try to be annoying and somewhat informative at the same time; I think that I succeed.

Today, we are looking at the lyrics to the song by John Thompson and Michael Card, El Shaddai. It was released in 1981, and it is inspired by one of the Hebrew names for God, El Shaddai. It means God Almighty.

Apparently, Michael Card and Amy Grant are the ONLY people who sing the song, which is kind of annoying. I mean, it's a GORGEOUS song, and I think that more people can stand to sing. Please, Carrie, please.

Anyway, I hope you like it. It starts with the chorus before the first verse, which isn't exactly normal.

But, normal or not, it really is nice, and I want to make it more popular.

Look, go to YouTube, look up Carrie Underwood, open one of her songs... And comment,  nicely asking her to sing El Shaddai. Deal?

Isn't it beautiful? I have ZERO idea what some of the words mean, but I still like it. 

You know what? When I pray, I think I'll start saying, "El Shaddai..." Instead of, "Dear God...". 

It just sounds so much nicer, don't you agree?

Shaddai is pronounced, Shad-die. I think you can figure out El.

Lyrics to the hymn, This Is My Father's world

Introduction  Hello, and welcome to the Mother of Gooses blog, where I write the lyrics to hymns, and the occasional recipe. Today, the hymn we are looking at is called This Is My Father's World; it was written in 1901 by a Mr. Maltbie Davenport Babcock.
